The Sudden Death Support Association is an organisation to help relatives and close friends of people who die suddenly. It is run by people who have experienced a sudden and tragic loss and would like to help others in their time of need.
Death is always difficult for those who are left behind, but never more so than when it is totally unexpected. The Sudden Death Support Association volunteers understand the feelings of shock, anger and disbelief because they too have gone through similar experiences.
Some people find it easier to talk to strangers than to expose their innermost feelings to someone they know well. They may feel that some of their emotions will be misunderstood and are fearful of the reactions of friends and family if they express them. SDSA volunteers will be glad to be a listening ear or a shoulder to cry on as well as offering more practical assistance.
